Mentoring 

-The program operates with the understanding that a strong, supportive relationship can significantly impact a young person's development. Mentors serve as positive role models, offering a listening ear, sharing their experiences, and providing encouragement. They help mentees navigate challenges, set goals, explore their interests, and develop essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Team Basketball and Travel Ball 

- The engaging athletic program initiative aims to provide youth in Charles City, Hopewell, Petersburg, and surrounding communities with opportunities to participate in various sports in a supportive and developmental environment. This initiative goes beyond basic recreational leagues, with a key component being the inclusion of travel ball(AAU) teams. 

- All ages of youth are welcome.  

Basketball Training

The basketball training program is a core component of its engaging athletic initiative. It is designed to provide comprehensive skill development, foster a love for the game, and instill valuable life lessons in young athletes across Charles City, Hopewell, Petersburg, and surrounding communities. This program caters to various skill levels, from beginners learning the fundamentals to more experienced players striving for advanced techniques and competitive play, including opportunities within their Travel Ball AAU teams.

We recognize that our mission to inspire and support youth cannot be achieved in isolation. The strong community collaboration initiative is a vital pillar of its work. It is focused on building and nurturing meaningful partnerships with diverse stakeholders across Charles City, Hopewell, Petersburg, and the surrounding Virginia Capital Region. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive network of support and resources, amplifying AcrossTheBoard's impact and strengthening the community's capacity to nurture its young people.
